Hey I'm Sarah...

Based in a little village in the East Riding of Yorkshire; I live with my husband, Rich and my two teenagers, Stanley and Sophia...oh and my daughters hamster, Penny! We have lived here for 16 years now and enjoy the quiet life. We do also enjoy our holidays away when we get chance and that is why I chose the photo above. Blue skies and white sand are my idea of heaven! But that is enough about that. You are here to read why I do what I do! So here you go...

As a self-taught portrait and family photographer, my journey into the world of photography has been an exciting and fulfilling one. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the idea of capturing the beauty and emotion of people through my lens.

I started out taking photos of my own family and friends, experimenting with different lighting, angles, and poses to create images that truly captured the essence of the person in front of me. As I shared my work with others, I began to receive requests to take photos for friends and family, and eventually, for clients.

Over time, my skills and portfolio grew, and I found myself drawn to the unique challenges and rewards of portrait and family photography. I loved the process of getting to know my subjects and finding ways to capture their personalities and relationships in a single frame.

As a self-taught photographer, I've had to rely on my own curiosity and passion to learn and grow. I've spent countless hours studying the work of other photographers, experimenting with new techniques, and pushing myself to try new things. And while I may not have formal training, my dedication to my craft and my clients has allowed me to create images that are both beautiful and meaningful.

Today, I continue to explore the world of portrait, family and the wonderful world of wedding photography, always seeking new ways to capture the unique and special moments that make life so amazing. And while I may never stop learning and growing as a photographer, I am grateful for the journey so far, and for the opportunity to share my love of photography with others.

I really look forward to meeting you either in my cosy studio, a beautiful location and maybe on your beautiful wedding day!
